Conference FAQs

Registration and attendance

Who should attend the conference? This conference will bring together policymakers, researchers, health and aged care industry professionals, providers and consumer groups to address the resilience and sustainability of the growing care economy.

What is included in my registration?

In-person registration includes:

  • Full access to all plenary, concurrent and workshop sessions
  • Daily catering
  • Entry to the Welcome Reception
  • Access to the conference app and virtual hub (live and on-demand viewing of sessions).

Virtual registration includes:

  • Access to the conference app and virtual hub
  • Live-streaming of plenary and concurrent sessions (workshops not included)
  • Interactive Q&A and polling during sessions.

How do I access the app? Instructions for downloading and logging into the app will be sent to registered delegates. You will be able to browse the program and participate in live Q&A.

Is there Wi-Fi at the venue? Yes. Network name: IHACPA_2025 Password: Conference#2025

What are the conference dates and location? Tuesday 5 August – Thursday 7 August 2025 Adelaide Convention Centre, North Terrace, Adelaide, SA

Where is the registration desk and when is it open? The registration desk is located on the ground floor foyer of the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The opening times are:

  • Tuesday 5 August: 7.30am – 5.30pm
  • Wednesday 6 August: 7.30am – 5.00pm
  • Thursday 7 August: 7.30am – 11.30am

Will I still have access to sessions after the conference? Yes! All delegates (in-person and virtual) will have on-demand access to the Virtual Attendee Hub for 6 weeks.

What if I have dietary requirements? All dietary requirements indicated during registration will be catered for. If you have additional concerns, please visit the registration desk on arrival.

What is the dress code?

  • Conference sessions: Smart casual/business attire
  • Conference Dinner: Cocktail

Are gala dinner tickets included? Gala dinner tickets are not included in registration and must be purchased separately. If you haven’t added a ticket yet, visit the registration desk during the conference to purchase one (subject to availability). Guest tickets can also be purchased.

Can I promote the conference on social media? Yes! We’d love you to share your experience. Use the hashtag #IHACPA2025 and tag @IHACPA on LinkedIn and Twitter/X.

Program and speakers

Where are plenary sessions held? All plenary sessions will take place in Hall C of the Adelaide Convention Centre.

What are the different session types? The program includes:

  • Plenary keynotes – thought leaders from Australia and abroad
  • Concurrent abstract sessions – grouped by theme
  • Panels – facilitated discussions on key topics
  • Workshops – interactive learning sessions held on Tuesday 5 August and Wednesday 6 August.

Where is the speaker preparation room? The Speaker Preparation room is located in Skyway Room 1. All presenters should check in at least 2 hours prior to the start of their session to confirm their presentation is working and meet with AV support.

I’m a speaker — when do I need to register by? All speakers must be registered by Monday 21 July 2025.

Accessibility and inclusion

Is the venue wheelchair accessible? Yes, the Adelaide Convention Centre is fully accessible. If you have specific access needs, please indicate them during registration or speak with our team at the registration desk.

What accessibility features are available?

  • Prayer room: Skyway Room 5 is available for quiet reflection or worship.
  • Quiet/sensory room: Skyway Room 4 is a low-stimulation space for those needing a break. This room is not for meetings or phone calls.
  • Soundproof meeting pods: Available in the central foyer on a first-come basis.
  • Hearing accessibility: Interpretation or captioning options will be available for all sessions to ensure access for attendees who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Wayfinding support: IHACPA Wayfinding Circles throughout the venue use colour-coded sections to help you navigate to plenary, breakouts or foyer areas.
  • Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Program: Lanyards available at registration for those wishing to discreetly indicate they may need additional support.

Will sessions be accessible virtually? Yes. All plenary and concurrent sessions will be available live online and on-demand for registered delegates, including those with virtual registrations.

Sustainability

What sustainability measures are in place? IHACPA 2025 is committed to reducing environmental impact. Some key initiatives include:

  • Conference tote bags, lanyards, and handbook are made from eco-friendly materials
  • Reusable catering and serving materials
  • All name badges will be issued without a plastic pouch
  • Local suppliers and native floral arrangements.
