Millie Muroi is the economics writer for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age based in Canberra's press gallery. She was formerly a business reporter covering banks, financial services and markets in Sydney, and prior to that, a graduate economist with the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry based in Perth.

Millie completed a degree majoring in English Literary Studies (Hons) and Economics at the University of Western Australia. She has interned at Deloitte Access Economics and WA Business News, held leadership roles in educational not-for-profits, completed a fellowship with Princeton University's Business Today Online Journal and volunteered as a leadership coach with the LEAP Foundation in Los Angeles.
